I am using the default jot templates for the comment area and I want the order change, first show the message(s) (if any), and the leave comment input field/textarea be last. But I don’t know how to change it. Been spending last 3 hours customising the look on comment area, still, I can figure where to change the order.

this is the jot comment anchor call
    [!Jot? &customfields=`name,email` &subscribe=`1` &pagination=`4` &docid=`*` &badwords=`dotNet` &canmoderate=`Site Admins` !]

    thanks!

Thanks but not quite. The example isn’t clear in the WIKI

        So I have this now:
        [!Jot? &placeholders=`1` &output=`0` &customfields=`name,email` &subscribe=`1` &pagination=`4` &docid=`*` &badwords=`dotNet` &canmoderate=`Site Admins`!]
        [+jot.html.comments+]
        [+jot.html.form+]

wheter the document is cached or uncached, my comment message and form disappear.

The wiki said: add placeholders calls in your page where the Jot call is.

So I added it to my page (#20 for instance) under the {{comments}} and I am getting the same result.

According to Brett, the man can from this post:
        http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,12828.msg88027.html#msg88027

        But this does work:
        Template( Jot + Chunk( Placeholders ) )

        And so does this:
        Template( Jot + Placeholders )

I am totally lost, I don’t know which template to add the placeholders. It doesn’t look like the document page but one of the templates in the ’assests/snippets/jot/template/". But I can’t make sense of it.

        An example please!

probably you need something like it, create a chunk or add codes to your template.
          [[Jot? &placeholders=`1` &output=`0` &pagination=`10` &customfields=`name,email,website` &guestname=`guest`&captcha=`2`]]<br/>
          [+jot.html.comments+]
          [+jot.html.navigation+]<br/>
          [+jot.html.form+]
          <p>[+jot.html.moderate+] </p>

          Thanks
