.
EDIT: Just ignore this post, I’ll make a custom solution with eForm.
------------------------------------
Sorry if this should be obvious to me, but I just don’t get it. How should I set up this simple thing:
I want to set up a site where web users can create documents, and also get a list of their documents (on their WebLoginPe "home page") where they can see all documets they have created, and edit them. Also, I want to be able to list documents per web user for other web users to see.
I’ve had a quick look at NewsPublisher, but when creating documents the author is a manager user. That wouldn’t work. And of course I don’t want the web users to have a manager login, there will be hundreds of web users creating documents... Edit: I was wrong, it stores the web user id.
Should I use eForm (to add to the database) for this? Or FDM (seems to be *very* alpha)? Or...?
As you can see I’m pretty confused! How do you solve this very basic task in the best way?
Edit: There are existing snippets that could do this, but as I’m going for some special functionality I’ll go with eForm and make a custom solution for this case. Sorry for this post, should have checked around some more before posting.

Please share when you get it working
Also you can make rules for the manager users to specify their permissions.
hi, I had this issue too, and i solved it by adding some sql queries in the webloginpe class file.
everywhere where a query is made to insert the new user , i just copied the same code below and modified the tables and other stuff that is specific to manager sql field,
they are all similar exept fot one field (cache pasword) that the manager user table doesn’t have (attributes are identical)
also, to make it work , i had to synchronize webuser and manager user, i used the user name for this, so there’s only a unique username in both web and manager user,
i also add the sql queries whenever, the webuser changes his profile
hope that will help!
oh I forgot something, to set the document’s author created by the websuser, as a matter of fact it has to be created by a manager user because they’re the only one allow to do this,
but as i said before, if you synchronize web and manager user, you just have to look in the manager_user table for the web user username and retrieve his id.
and then set this id instead of the webuser id.
am i clear?
I will be faced with the same task soon. Very interested in how you get this going. I will also post whatever progress I make when the time comes. Never even considered the differences between web and manager users.
It’s all about accessability and ease of use for web users, i say visitors are possible web users!, and normally they do hate being asked too much to do or give information, so some form and fire button is enough for this, Beside this might get its own topic but some features like giving the chance to the users to upload files form front-end would be nice to be implemented along with its unique counter, etc... would be cute when it engages WebLoginPE !!!
