How do I use the link tag?

    Hello everybody!
    What is the expected output when using the [tt][~link~][/tt] tag? If I try e.g. [tt][~4~][/tt] the only output I get is the alias of that document, not a complete url of any kind. Am I missing something here?

      Yeah, it isn’t to useful on it’s own, but better in some <a> tags.
      <a href="[~4~]">The default login page!</a>

      If you are using friendly URLS and Friendly Alias Paths, make sure you specify a <base /> tag in the head of your template.
      <base href="http://www.greatestsiteever.url/" />

        Thank you! Apart from using [tt]<base href="">[/tt] I guess one way is to use the link tag together with [tt]site_url[/tt], like this: [tt][(site_url)][~link~][/tt].

          Sure, you can do that if you need absolute URL’s, otherwise [tt]<a href="[~link~]">Link</a>[/tt] should get you to that document just fine. smiley
