I've been unable to get AJAX commenting to work with Articles (which uses Quip for commenting). I've tried to use jQuery .ajax on the comment form, which posts to /#quip-comment-preview-box-qcom but it appears there is a server side redirect that perhaps is what's causing me to not get a response. Wondering if the redirect is from /#quip-comment-preview-box-qcom to /?quip_approved=0#quip-success-qcom.

Anyways has anybody gotten AJAX Commenting to work?

Modifying the default functioning of Articles is awkward at best. Much of its functionality is hard-coded into its various snippets and plugins, acting as wrappers to the usual getResources, getPage and Quip snippets. It takes considerable digging into its code and hacking to customize it in any significant way.

That is one reason why I prefer to use MIGXdb for handling child-resources in the same manner; output and additions like Quip are left to the developer to manage as usual. http://rtfm.modx.com/display/ADDON/MIGXdb.Manage+Child-Resources+in+a+grid-TV+with+help+of+MIGXdb

I think Articles uses Quip for the commenting form and processing. I need to do another test to try and get more info, but I remember it not seeming to be as simple as "ajaxing" the form as is with jquery.

It would be great to figure out if Articles (Quip) currently supports AJAX commenting and if not, why not.
