Setting up MODx for emailing

Hi there,

First off, I started using Modx not too long ago for a website deployment and I simply LOVE the flexibility and power it has! Awesome work MODx team!!

Here’s my question. I tried using the Contact Form XHTML email sending snippet...it seemed to work, but I never get any emails. I also don’t recall setting up anything with regards to an SMTP server. Is there somewhere I have to set up this SMTP mailer/server information?? I can’t seem to find it anywhere in the Manager. Was it something I missed in the initial setup? Is there anyway for me to edit that now?

MODx uses the built in PHP mailing functions, so it’s likely a server configuration issue.
