Answered Should the toggle editor stay unchecked after save

I'm trying to create an xml file, so i'm setting the template as empty and then checking the toggle editor so TinyMCE doesn't mess around with my snippet. But as soon as I save the toggle editor is checked again, TinyMCE appears and messes up my snippet by wrapping it in a <p> tag.

Is it meant to work like this, tried a 2.2.4 and 2.2.5 and get the same issue on modx cloud and my normal hosting.

Quite honestly, I recall when tinyMCE would remain as toggled in MODX although I can't remember which last version I saw this behavior in. It does always toggle back in 2.2.5 though and I too would like to know if there's a setting somewhere to fix it.

In the meantime however, you could solve this by making the .xml resource a static resource, in which you can edit either in the manager or an external editor without tinyMCE interfering.

That Rich Text checkbox was what I was looking for. That must of been what i'd used in the past.
