Answered How can I clear the cache from a snippet after calling setContent()?

I'm in the process of creating a front-end editor for my site that updates via AJAX. I have a snippet in a resource to which I pass data via POST that updates the appropriate resource. The trouble is that after the resource gets updated I often, though not always, have to clear the site's cache before the changes will be reflected in the menus and on the page. Below is my code. Also, if anyone has suggestions about a better way to build this I'd love to hear it.

A related question: what will MODx return if any of these operations fail? Will the script die with an error or does each API call just return false? I want to make sure I properly handle errors.

getObject() will return null on failure (getCollection() returns an empty array on failure).

If getObject() fails and you don't have a sanity check, the first get() call will cause a fatal error (calling get() on a non-object).

If getObject() is successful, you can usually count on the the other methods working, though it's common to check the return value of the save() call (which will return true or false).
