I would recommend to use NewsPublisher for FRONT EDITOR, it is very easy to use.
Download http://modx.com/extras/package/newspublisher
You can read the documentation & some examples on http://bobsguides.com/newspublisher-tutorial.html
Goodluck!
OK, just did that and results were as expected. It doesn't work "out of the box." I have a lot of respect for Bob Ray, but despite what his tutorials says, "To edit existing resources, simply place a tag for the NpEditThisButton snippet anywhere in the <body> section of your template(s) or in the Resource Content field of a Resource" - well, it's not as simple as that. Here's what I get: "Could not set the np_id default property. Set it manually to the ID of the newspublisher page." I found some answers to this on a 1-1/2 year old thread, but once again a bunch of work-arounds to get a front end editor working. And even then from that thread it appears your not going to see a page that resembles the page you're working on.
I will go ahead and create a NewsPublisher document and try again, but at the moment I don't have the energy to deal with it. After all these years I still don't understand why there is not a front end editor for Revolution that works seamlessly.
Thanks for your advice. After a good night's sleep I'll approach it again using NewsPublisher and we'll see how it goes.
