    Hi all.

I’ve searched about a bit and can’t find what I need, so....

Has anyone made any successful moves on the search feature within MODx to adapt it to autopopulate the search field as you type ?

Ideally linked to a spidered/database text search, I’ve got this in mind so that users searching for product information will get automatic results appearing in a drop down as they type information in the search box.

    Any ideas ?

I’m also curious about a dedicated FAQ system to run within MODx.

Early indications of the CMS are very good, and I’d like to consider rolling it out to several projects in the pipeline, however, the above two questions would go a long way to resolving the main outstanding issues I have.

    Any input very much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance smiley

Do you have any php skills? I would try to solve your search field by using the appropriate component from the extjs javascript framework (next versions of MODx are moving toward extjs anyway) for the front-end component, and either a snippet or a standalone php file to interact with the component on the server side.
I haven’t seen a FAQ solution per se, but I can imagine a couple of ways of accomplishing one with Ditto.
