    I've migrated a site to a different server, I've made sure they meet every MODX requirement including ImageMagik and so forth. I've also followed the rtfm about transferring to a different server to the letter.

    The problem is that on my new server I have broken images in the front and backend, I can see all my albums in "components > gallery" but with broken images in them, so I tried to upgrade gallery to 1.5.2-pl because 1.4.0 rc1 (my current install) was broken during the migration (I guess), but 1.5.2 wouldn't upgrade and stall during the process, ...anyways I removed 1.5.2-pl and went back to 1.4.0 rc1 and managed to re-install but now I'm back to the beginning, it still doesn't link to the images in assets > components > gallery > files.

    How can I tell gallery to use those images again? there's over 100 albums that I wish I don't have to make again sad

    And I still see broken images in back and front.

    Any pointers, wild guesses or tips are very welcome.

    Thanks in advance!

      There seems to be some kind of issue with package paths and moving servers, I ran into the same thing just a few weeks ago myself. The problem is, package management doesn't see the transport.zip file for existing versions. I had to manually remove the transport.zip and then re-upload to core/packages and re-install. Then, you can uninstall the package and re-install/upgrade if desired.

      I would bet, that if you attempted to re-install your other packages that they too will hang. When you see no text on the first install screen, you're not going to get a successful install. It's a PITA to have to re-install them like this but I haven't figured out another way to do it.

      Something else to consider is upgrading MODX. 2.1.5 is getting antiquated now that 2.2.6 is close to ready, and 2.3 is on the horizon :~}

      Something else that may be hindering you, in system settings, switch to the gallery settings and check your paths. You may also want to check the workspaces table in the db.

        Frogabog, thank you very much for the reply, I actually considered upgrading to the latest modx version since you suggested it XD.

        I also found this really helpful link for those who are running in to the same problems.

        The only thing I may add is that after you've corrected paths and uninstalled / re-installed the packages, (if you've done most of the process through ssh) you might want to check your assets/components/gallery/files folder permissions, after a couple of days banging my head against the wall, I thought of the ever so simple solution of setting it 777 and wham! there was gallery working again.

        Cheers!
