I am using chrome and I do not see your issue.
Are you talking about a problem with the home page slider or something on the gallery page?
If you are saying the slider shows blank white delay when the site first loads to your home page I have had that problem before with this slider. My solution was simple:
Just set the first slide in the show as the background image to the container div you use for the slider. That way it loads first and while the rest of the page loads you don't see a blank background where the slider is.
If that's not what you're talking about please elaborate.

I can't duplicate your issue, but I would play with the position settings in the css for the slider and containing divs.

But I tried to the lower version of chrome like in v14 it went well. I assume the problem is not in my css, I'm running in chrome v23.

I'm on the same version of Chrome as you then. Far as the CSS I've had some issues like this before specific to one browser and trying different applications of absolute/relative/static assignments, sometimes z-index as well, to the slider and container elements fixed the issues.
Even though static is default I've also had success manually assigning it before with seeding position elements.
I know it sounds stupid and you may have already done it but I'd clear the cache, site and browser, and try chrome again. Then if still there I'd get on another computer and try that.
I just tried on
http://browserling.com also and can't duplicate the issue.
Does your client see the issue? Are you seeing the white pause between every slide?

Thanks for sharing that.
What version of JQuery are you using?

I'm using jquery-1.6.1.min.js and jquery.nivo.slider.pack.js.
Works fine for me. Looks like you are testing in Chrome on Windows XP? I'd imagine its just an XP issue
