I have updated my extra (uploaded new version) in modx.com repo. New package is available through package browser.
But there is no Update button in installed package grid. When I click Check Updates button, I got `There is no updates available for this package` (or something like that).

Last version was 1.2.1 rc2. New version is 1.3.0 rc3 (package Ace)

    How can I fix it?

Load the new version package transport.zip file into core/packages. The select the install packages locally (arrow next to the "download packages" button in package management) and load from the packages folder. The new package should show up, either to be installed, or updated.

My theory on this is that something is misspelled, or a capitalization is different in the package title perhaps and package management is not making the relation to the new version. I've seen this happen with MIGX. One version's title was migx, and the newer versions were titled MIGX. When I uploaded the MIGX version over the top of migx, migx disappeared leaving only MIGX.

        There is no misspelling.

        Here is this package: http://modx.com/extras/package/ace

I can easy update it in my MODx (just go to package browser and choose Ace).
The problem is that other users don't even know about new version or don't want to do these additional steps to update this package...

Hm. I tried to upload new version (fake 1.3.1rc4) to modx.com provider. There is no effect.
Then I disabled this version and now I have this page: http://modx.com/extras/package/ace

There is no version mark, download counter is broken, there is no Update Version button in modx.com site interface. After some magic manipulation these issues have disappered. It seems I need contact with someone of admins... [ed. note: danya_postfactum last edited this post 13 years, 11 months ago.]

I think some major work is being done on the MODx servers; the main site, the forums and the rtfm are all behaving very badly today.
