Recently transferred modx from development server to live server. I’ve misplaced the admin password. For some reason when I request it to be sent to the email attached to the admin it says it’s sent it however the email never arrives. I’ve gone into phpMyAdmin to check email and it’s correct. Is there anything else I can do to get back into Modx admin?
      Mostly harmless.

You might need to check in SPAM folder.

I’ve tried different email addresses, all without spam filters.

Isn’t there some way of resetting password from within phpMyAdmin, although I did notice they were strings?

Go to a site like this: http://www.xs4all.nl/~jlpoutre/BoT/Javascript/Utils/md5_hashing.html

Put in your password, then copy the MD5 hash to the password field for your user in phpMyAdmin.

do u have valid email in Tools > Configuration > Users , "your email" ... by default its [email protected] ... some hosts restricts "from" email to the hosted domain only.

Well the last thing can be the wrong email in "Security -> Manager Users", edit your manager user and see if it actually has email address or not.

If this doesnt work, make a new manager user and try with it.
