Hi all,
I am currently busy working on a project with a lot of custom friendly URLs. Now working on the "agenda" part of the site. This part contains events which can be posted by logged-in users and the client of course.
The overview with items is a resource with snippet to list all the events. The URL of this page is /agenda/. Below that agenda resource, I have made a new resource which is binded to the template for the event details. My fURL structure for event items is /agenda/[id]/[event-alias]/. When they reach this URL a "OnPageNotFound" plugin is called and I get the agenda item details from the database and use setPlaceholders() and sendForward() to view the details. Works all great; so far so good.
Now activating Quip on the detail page is also no problem. My thread setting is like "agenda-[id]-[event-alias]" and it's initializing good, etc. The problem now is that when you post a comment, Quip redirects to the detail resource instead of the same page with my own fURL. I found a parameter &redirectToUrl setting for Quip, so I have added an extra placeholder with the own fURL in it, this works too when I just display the placeholder, but when I add this placeholder to the &redirectToUrl parameter it goes wrong.
After some debugging I found that Quip doesn't receive the URL but the placeholder tag. Tried to do this with and without the ! in front of the URL containing placeholder but no luck there.
Does anyone has experience with this and maybe have a solution or workaround?
Thank you in advance!
Regards, Bert

I decide to leave the friendly urls, can't get it to work. Now back to old school get parameters :-(
