Can you provide the page (domain) that the ModX site is running on and also the code where you are generating the link noted above.
Traditionally if the link is onsite and you have Friendly URL's turned "on" you can create a link with the query string as normal assuming that the code is running through ModX snippet and also on the same domain it may look like:
With Friendly URL's on:
<a href="[~22~]?bid=tour1">My Link</a>
WIthout Friendly URL's:
<a href="[~22~]&bid=tour1">My Link</a>
*note: that the value "22" is an example ModX Evo resource ID.
Evo Revo // Ubuntu, CentOS, Win // Apache 2x, Lighttp (Lighty)

Is the code you posted in snippets in MODX? Or is it the source from another project?
What exactly have you tried, what do your snippets and chunks contain, and how are you calling it into MODX? Without knowing what you've tried, how it's set up, and how you're trying to pull it out, the rest of us are likely about as confused as you are.

Is the code you posted placed into snippets & chunks in MODX? Or is it the source from another project? PHP code must be in a snippet, you'll then call the snippet from somewhere in your template or a resource, TV or chunk.
