Answered Component class method in Processor

Hi,

I am developing a component for a customer called orders. It's located here: core/components/orders/. Inside the class-file at model/orders/orders.class.php I have made a couple of custom methods that I can run via the orders object, once it has been initalized.

My question is: Is it possible to access these methods from the processors in this package? Take a look at this file https://github.com/splittingred/Doodles/blob/develop/core/components/doodles/model/doodles/doodles.class.php - would it be possible to run the public function getChunk inside a processor file?

You might want to check the modProcessor->initialize method (https://github.com/modxcms/revolution/blob/release-2.2/core/model/modx/modprocessor.class.php#L77).

There you could load your service class.

I guess it does not change a thing.

If you followed the tutorial, you should have your connector having $modx->yourPackage (see modExtra).

Then in your processors you should be able to use it.
In the worst case you just have to instantiate your service class at the top of you processor using $xPDO->getService
