I’m inputting a load of legacy articles to Ditto with a publish date (set in the past) and some of these articles do not appear on the front end. It’s only when the publish date is removed - document saved - publish date re-added that the article appears.
There seems to be a pattern to this:
The first few articles each month do not appear and subsequent articles in the same pub_date month do appear.
I came across this related bug in the tracker:
http://modxcms.com/bugs/task/728 which suggest that inputting these legacy items with a pub_date is erroneous.
Hmm, not sure whether to create a custom TV for adding the unix timestamp that corresponds to "date first published" or if there’s away to reliably publish these legacy items with the pub_date.
