Issues with duplicating a directory/sub-site.

That's the type of plugin I'm imagining. I think I may have to take a stab at it.

I'll have to explore the multi-context approach some more, but for now I don't think it is something we'll be pursuing in the near future. We've more-or-less got a rhythm going with "sites" as root-level resources and their children, each with its own corresponding resource group and user group.

The main situation where this has been an issue is with spawning copies of draft sites to apply different navigation & content approaches. Karin was working on about 50 or so resources, and needed to make a copy of it to try some different approaches the client wanted.

Sounds good. If you need any tips on writing the plugin or moving to a multi-context setup (it's not as painful as it seems, I swear), just let me know! You're not doing exactly what I'm doing, but it's close enough that I might be able to provide some insight.
