Hello! I’m making a small site. It should have image galleries inside. I’m using MaxiGallery for this purpose. But I’ve got one question -
how can I pass URL parameters to some page on the site and then retrieve their values in the template or in content?

I’m not sure, that this is the best solution, but I thought that I could pass the current_image_id parameter to the page with gallery, so to show the image with id=23, i would type the following query:

    http://www.mysite.com/galleries/gallery1/?current_image_id=23

There can be quite a lot of images in the gallery. The thumbnails are shown on the same page, that the image itself. On the page, the thumbnails will be organized into blocks, every block consists of 10 images. There are two parameters that maxigallery can take - limit and offset. To make navigation i also need to pass the offset as the URL parameter. For example -
    http://www.mysite.com/galleries/gallery1/?current_image_id=23&offset=20

I know, that everything can be accomplished using javascript, but I wanted to make the use of javascript as small as possible to make it possible for everyone to see the galleries.
