You need to upload the images at the correct size for your scrolling image, another option is to use
phpthumbof to have MODX change the size of any image you upload on the server.
Good luck.
Thnaks for that - I am resizing the images yet when i upload to the modx browser and then onto the page the pixel size is totally different from what i saved them as which is really annoying. How do i find the dimensions of the scrolling box i have or is there a plugin that would automatically resize any image to fit the said box?

What scrolling box are you using? Those settings would likely be in that script's css or js/jQuery.
i am a keyboard "jockey" rather than technically minded - the box has been created in the chunks then common container. the only code i cound find in there was this:
<!-- Affiliation logos slidshow -->
<div id="affiliation">
<a id="scrollup" href="javascript:;"><img src="skin/common/images/arrow-up.png" alt="Scroll up" /></a>
<a id="scrolldown" href="javascript:;"><img src="skin/common/images/arrow-down.png" alt="Scroll down" /></a>
<div id="logos">
As Frogabog says it is probable being set via the jquery being used, can you supply a url so we can take a look.
Keep trying but can't seem to figure things out - Trying to upload the attached image which i have resized to 170x52 px and then i upload it to modx for use in the website and it's properties are 490x150 px when it is on the webpage - Is there some other criteria that i should be setting?

Does it have some kind of styling in the CSS to set its width and height? Are you using phpthumbof or some other image manipulation add-on with the wrong settings?
Not using any image manipulation software - How would i find the CSS settings?
