    Hi all,

    Revo 2.2.4-pl

I had to create several accounts that have restricted permissions, let's call them Editors.

I've followed Bob's explanations about Permissions and if that chapter is known to be a bit confusing, I assume I get it well, so... And I did exactly what Bob writes (http://bobsguides.com/revolution-permissions.html).

My problem is : once the whole configuration is done, I try to log in with an Editor account, and after I hit the Login button, the page just refreshes, displaying no error or whatever.

    - I cleared site's cache, flushed permissions and sessions,
    - The account is in a User Group and has its a role affected
    - The User Group has access to both web and mgr contexts, with minimal roles and the right access policy

What else can i say ? The user is active, non-blocked.

What I noticed in the db is that the modx_active_users table is empty... (is that normal ?)

Oh and, see this pic ? this is what I get when I want to create a new User Group. It might be worth to be considered too...

System log reports nothing. Can you please help me ?
Sorry for that ⇧ , I'm no dev but I wanna try

      - Manager pretends logins are successful, 0 login error, and it counts the number of logins.

      - Since I created those new accounts, my own admin account fails to login sporadically, and works again then - this is going to get mystic.

I'm running on wampserver. Restarting its services doesn't solve the problem. Clearing the browser's cache or passwords neither. Please what do I miss ?

You may want to test and see if expanded roles in the mgr context resolve the problems with the user group. Additionally, unless your front end requires user logins I'd consider using a sessionless context for both performance and authentication issues.

Did you give the editors access to the MGR context? If not they wont be able to log into the manager, you need to give the editors access to both Web and MGR context.

Check out my ACL tutorial it might help.

Actually there are more than one problem - but it's almost all right : while I guess the main problem was a bad user group configuration (that seems resolved), I still deal with random issues concerning my own login...

It seems that this problem mainly occurs in Firefox, and not in Chrome...

@benmarte yes I did, thanks for your tutorial

@fullerm that link will definitely help me - at least i hope so, talking about front-end performance !!

            Thank you both
