    Ok ok...
    Let me define Simple...
    I am quite new to Modx BUT not website development ( I often use Expression Engine ).
    While using Modx - and it's add-ons - it have found that most of the add-ons are designed as a full-featured-one-(or two)-preset-plug-and-play add-on.
    This causes a lot of confusion when I just require the basics to do what I require with them. but the add-ons are often designed with one thing in mind that is a pain to reverse engineer and break down.

    For example - I need an uploader that allows me to upload multiple images, perform a set of actions to them and give me some tags that make 'proper' URLS:
    > Upload original
    > Resize (to defined presets) and save a thumbnail to /images/album-name/thumbnails/actual-name-i-gave-the-image.jpg
    > Resize (to defined presets) and save a medium size to /images/album-name/medium/actual-name-i-gave-the-image.jpg
    > Resize (to defined presets) and save a large size to /images/album-name/large/actual-name-i-gave-the-image.jpg
    > provide me with a tag ('large-img', 'medium-img', 'thumb-img') to use where I require with the html/css/js I would like to use with a 'proper' URL.

    But they seem to all come pre-packaged with one idea of how they are 'supposed' to work (which isn't always bad but I'd prefer complete control over how my images and URLS are displayed).
    I know I could do this by FTP after running some PS actions (I just thought of that and it may actually be a good idea) but an add on that did this (for a client that doesn't have an image editor) would be very useful.
    They would just have to create an album and upload the images and then those would be resized and placed where I told them to with human readable URLS (though most humans wouldn't see these, they would be good for SEO)

    So my question is is there a multi image uploader and resize/croper that doesn't try to force me to use it how the developer thinks I should?

    Thanks.

      should be possible now with the latest MIGX:
      https://github.com/Bruno17/MIGX/downloads

      This Tutorial:
      http://rtfm.modx.com/display/ADDON/MIGX.Use+resource-specific+mediasource+and+multifile-uploader

      with this additions:
      in your mediasource add this property:

      resizeconfigs:
      [{"x":"300","y":"300","alias":"small"},{"x":"500","y":"500","alias":"middle"},{"x":"800","y":"800","alias":"big"}]

      replace the pathes with:

      [[migxResourceMediaPath? &pathTpl=`assets/resourceimages/{pagetitle}/`]]

        Ooh! Nice! Would work for other file types as well if you want them stored in resource-specific folders!

          To get them displayed, use this:

          [[!getImageList? &tvname=`yourmigxTV` &processTVs=`0` &tpl=`migxalbumimage`]]

          chunk migxalbumimage:

          thumb:
          <img src="/assets/resourceimages/[[*pagetitle]]/thumbs/[[+image]]"/>
          <br />

          middle:
          <img src="/assets/resourceimages/[[*pagetitle]]/middle/[[+image]]"/>
          <br />

          big:
          <img src="/assets/resourceimages/[[*pagetitle]]/big/[[+image]]"/>
          <br />
