Dear Modx Community...
i would like to get modx run at apache Tomcat with Quercus.
Thats a real Speed and Performance improvement i think.
My Problem is:
*hidden*\modx\setup\includes\request\modinstallrequest.class.php:85: Fatal Error: 'DirectoryIterator' is an unknown class name.
Thats because Quercus hasn#t implemented that DirectoryIterator Class...
So please, is there a workaround to get off that class or do some tricks to get modx run without that class?
Is it used only for install or even in modxitself?
I will try to get in touch with the qercus people, but i hope the modx Community is able to help me.
with best regards,
chris

This is part of the default SPL extension that is enabled by default on all PHP 5.0.0 and later releases. In fact, in PHP 5.3.0 it can no longer even be disabled in the configuration. This is a required class for running MODX Revolution and if Quercus does not implement all the standard classes in the PHP version required by MODX, there is not much we can do.
Thank you for reply opengeek!
That is a little bit sad i think,
because some big players like Wordpress or Mediawiki benefit of great performance improvements because of Quercus, i wished for modx too. Maybe some officials of modx should get in contact with Caucho... (Quercus) ....
Is DiretoryIterator used in the whole modx, or only in setup?
I am able to mirror an existing "developement" project if its only setup.... to get a setup workaround...
By the way... it seems that Caucho gives some priority to get things done related to existing external projects. Maybe only somebody official has to push the button at Coucho to give them the way...maybe...
Btw. because if DirectoryIterator is a class... no possibility to get it "emulated/faked"/"refrenced" as linked external class? Quercus is an php engine ... so it is able maybe to interpret an "selfmade DirectoryIterator" ?
..
thank you for your answer!!!
with best regards,
Chris
