Change / Update images

Hi,

Sorry if this is an obvious question but recently installed the Gallery component to discover that it seems that you are unable to update or change images - unless im doing something wrong?

Wondering if I should use maxigallery which seems to be able to do this, but a couple of things are putting me off - the first being the download link on the wiki http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/MaxiGallery seems to be broken and also you will have to manually install it as it does not show in package management of Revo 2.2.4-pl

Unless there is a better component for this?

MaxiGallery is for Evo; as far as I know there isn't a version for Revo.

Have you considered using MIGx or MIGXdb for your gallery?

Have had a quick look at these and for a newbie like me they seem quite involved. It's a shame about Gallery as its easy to implement and does exactly what I wont, but without the ability to change / update images of course.

If it makes any difference the purpose of the component is to allow an easy interface for a website user to easily change / update images spread out in various places across the website.

I'll still take a closer look at the two and report how I get on.

Ok, so have had play around with MIGX and after trying an example http://rtfm.modx.com/display/ADDON/MIGX.Simple+opening+hours+table which on the surface seemed complicated for a beginner but was actually fairly simple, I not only learnt a lot but found out how useful it is to know about this extra.

In the end, for me, just creating a straight forward TV, setting the input and output type to galleryItem as in this example http://rtfm.modx.com/display/ADDON/Gallery.Setting+Up+the+GalleryItem+TV was perfect for my needs.
