Dissallowed File Types, Cannot upload Images and Files with ModX

Hi there!
I have a problem using ModX 0.96. I created TemplateVariables for some Images which can be assigned in the backend of modx for any site. But i cannot upload the Images with ModX.
I can create Folders with ModX and the Folders have the correct Chmod and are in the correct place. Im wondering why it is not possible to upload images then. The Ressourcepath in ModX seems to be correct. The Filetypes i want to upload (jpg, gif) are set in the backend to be accepted but if i start to upload the images using the resource-browser i get the following error message:

Error, Dissallowed File Type

If i Upload some Images with my FTP Programm the Files are not displayed in the Backend of ModX, but i can view them in my browser.
Maybe anyone can help me on this! Would be realy nice! TiA!

Are you sure permissions are set properly for the upload folder (e.g allowed to write the folder) ?
What is the permission for files uploaded ?

Also, did you check users don’t have specific preferences as to what kind of files they’re allowed to upload (can find that in user preferences) ?

Thanks for the tipps! I didnt know, that i have to specify the allowed filetypes for any user individually. I allowed Jpg and Gif and now its working!
