How to allow users to create document in root of site

I’ve been having problems since installing ModX 0.9.6 w/ regard to permissions.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to set up the manager to allow another user to create pages at the root of the site.

I’m trying to do this though Roles. The settings I have so far, that don’t work, are below.

What I want the users in this group to do is be able to create a new page at the root of the site.

Have you checked the configuration setting to allow users to create documents in the root of the site, i.e. "Allow root"? See Tools --> Configuration --> User tab in the manager for this setting.

Looks sheepishly at the setting that says "Allow root: no"

Never thought to look there!
