[SOLVED] 500 error after fresh installtion

Hi,

i've just installed modx revo 2.5 with no errors, everything looked fine in the check-list. After the installation was done i clicked the next or proceed button and i get the 500 error page.

even when i want to open the manager , i get the 500 error. installation is still accessible

rename any .htaccess file that is existing.

Download a fresh copy of 2.2.5, upload the zip file to the server and unpack it on the server. Replace all the existing files with the new ones. (don't use FTP to transfer individual folders/files - extract everything on the server itself)

Check the core/cache folder, delete all files if any exist.

Close all tabs loading the manager or attempting to. Clear your browser cache and cookies. then re-run setup.

If that doesn't work, kill the database and do the above again.

I followed your instructions and after installation i get'

Error message:
Premature end of script headers: php-fcgi-starter

i'll try to remove everything and begin from scratch

Probably the best option in this case. How'd it go?

If you still get the error, x it all again and download a copy of 2.2.4. Install it, same as above but don't FTP anything but the zip file. Extract it on the server. Run setup.

If that works, then try to upgrade to 2.2.5.

At that point, you can try another 2.2.5 fresh install and tell us if it wigs on you again. :~}

I've reinstalled it several times and it works perfect now. THanks for the help forgabog.
