I am writing the plugin(gui wrapper for rss reader) which gets freq/update fields from database,
and then update approprietes cached content files.
the problem I encounter is having no idea how to check if the time is out
lets say
task1 check/update every 12 hours
task2 update every 60min
task3 update weekly
If I will compare file modification time and time passed I am afraed it is very slow due to very time consuming file operation
Is there any schemas or ready solutions to have a fake cron(in windows apache machines)
or a way of keeping one superglobal between all instantces
or any resources regarding
periodical task initiating
