Moved to new server - cannot run setup

I recently moved a Revo install from one server to another; which I've done countless times now. However, this time I'm not able to run setup as I would normally do.

I created the new DB on the new server and updated all the configs per the RTFM:
/core/config.inc.php

/config.core.php (0644)
/connectors/config.core.php (0644)
/manager/config.core.php (0644)

I deleted and created a new cache folder (777)

When I get to Connection Information, I enter the new db information but I continue to have:

"Connecting to database server:
Could not connect to the existing database for upgrade. Check the connection properties and try again."

What am I missing?

Double-check the database server; I've been bitten by this a few times when it turned out that the database was on a separate server, not "localhost".

I moved it from cpanel to cpanel, and in phpmyadmin it says localhost. Should I look elsewhere for the database server host?

No, just a suggestion. With CPanel, however, database names and usernames often have a prefix prepended to what you indicated. Double-check that the database name isn't something like mydomain_databasename rather than just databasename.

I did just notice the mother of all typos, lol. BLAH! Still cannot connect...looking more

and that's all it was...typo in the db_dbname TGIF
