    Hi,

I can't figure this out so any help much appreciated,
I have two galleries set up with Gallery 1.4.0 & Modx2.2.2.
Each gallery is set up the same using the galleriffic plugin. Suddenly when uploading to Gallery1 the thumb displays but the big image does not display yet the same image displays fine in Gallery2. The paths to the images seem fine.
I was wondering if there's a file size limit on each gallery somewhere as Gallery1 does contain a few more images than 2?
Is there anything else this could be down to?

    Thanks for any help

    J

      Hey J,

two galleries means two albums, right? Can you provide a link or is it local?

      Cheers,

      Guido

          Hi, thanks for your responses.
          The site is at: http://bit.ly/KToZic

If you look at the Gallery page and the top right thumbnail, the big image does not display, although the path is correct in the source code. Uploading this exact same image to the Archives page displays as it should - look at the last image in the archives gallery.
The images are also appearing ok in the assets/components/gallery/files/gallery1

          Any ideas?

            Hi Janice,

A wonder indeed. Have you tried to delete image from gallery and then re-upload it? Is the image active inside gallery manager?

If you look at the source, the missing image (top right) is referenced by:
              http%3a%2f%2fwww.ian-hodgson.co.uk%2f~wwwianho%2fassets%2fcomponents%2fgallery%2ffiles%2f1%2f44.jpg

If you correct the link manually, get rid of the
              wwwianho
              , it looks like this:
              http://www.ian-hodgson.co.uk/assets/components/gallery/files/1/44.jpg
which actually works. Unfortunately, this also works:
              http://www.ian-hodgson.co.uk/~wwwianho/assets/components/gallery/files/1/44.jpg

Maybe you should look at some of the path settings. Can it be that you have two installations running? I guess it's a site which was "build my testing" instead of "build by solid knowledge". Which is not bad (I very much like thei site and the pictures!), but brings unanswered questions with it smiley like "oh boy, what did I do there and why?"

              Which timezone are you in?

                Hi,

                Timezone is GMT (UK).
I did look at the paths issue but decided it couldn't be the paths because that same photo uploaded to the 'Archive' gallery...take a look here at the last image: http://www.ian-hodgson.co.uk/index.php?id=6

...although as you say the path is actually incorrect with the 'wwwianho':
                www.ian-hodgson.co.uk/wwwianho/assets/components/gallery/files/2/50.jpg

If i change the : gallery.files_url by omitting the /wwwianho/ none of the images display!
I have noticed on a Revo 2.0.8 install using Gallery successfully the system setting paths for any of the '_url' settings start with the '/assets/....' but on this site changing those settings does not appear to work. And the fact that the same image can be successfully uploaded to another gallery and uploads have been working for the past year i am still unsure about it being a paths issue.

                Any other suggestions?

                Thanks
