I'm trying to make new documents hidden from menu by default. I sort of managed to do this via form customization. I created a rule that has Hide From Menus ticked by default when using a certain template. And it does that too. Whenever I save a document the Hide From Menus gets ticked. But it still remains visible to the menus and doesn't appear gray in document tree. If I tick it off and on again it works properly but this defeats the purpose. Am I doing something wrong?
Fixed this by setting the default template to the one that needs to be hidden. Rule is now forced on creation and when the document is saved it is applied properly. This would still be a problem if I wanted to have some other template as the default though.
