I will answer my own question! Created a test bed and it seems it went pretty smoothly and wasn’t as scary an upgrade as I expected.
Only met a couple of issues:
• The Package Manager not recognising updates? This was easily worked out by browsing extras and selecting them manually for installation where needed. See what happens when more updates come up.
• Issue with URIs? Not sure what causes this or what is happening under the hood, but as found @

…turning Friendly URLs off and on again/clearing cache seems to have sorted the issue.
That was a hell of a lot easier than expected (maybe something will come up but I’ve had a fair poke about), thank you MODX team, I am a far more relaxed than I thought I would be after that!
