    Hello All grin
    I have a few strange issues with MODx. I have a 0.9.6 fresh install on my Linux server:
    Apache 1.3.37
    PHP 5.2.0
    MySQL 5.0

    1.) Quick edit it being weired! If I’m logged in it:

    • stop my scriptaculous javascripts working
    • Won’t validate on the W3C XHTML validator

    When I logout it leaves extra code on my page where ever I have a TV:
    <quickedit:LeftCol />
    <quickedit:content />
    <quickedit:footer />

    Not only is it annoying that MODx has added code on logout but it won’t validate!

    2.) If I’m logged in or out there is alway a javascript added to the page:
    The javascript seems to stop scriptaculous from working
    <script type="text/javascript">var MODX_MEDIA_PATH = "media";</script>

    3.) Strange caching issue
    If I click the "clear cache" button it deleted the following cache files:
    Cache: Found 16 files in cache directory and deleted 11 cache files.

    New cache files will be created when pages are requested.

    The following files were deleted:

    * docid_1.pageCache.php
    * docid_16.pageCache.php
    * docid_22.pageCache.php
    * docid_23.pageCache.php
    * docid_24.pageCache.php
    * docid_25.pageCache.php
    * docid_26.pageCache.php
    * docid_27.pageCache.php
    * docid_28.pageCache.php
    * docid_29.pageCache.php
    * docid_32.pageCache.php
    I then log out refresh/reload any of the pages on my site (just one page refresh), log back into the manager and click the "clear cache", for some reason it deletes exactly the same cache files

    Help! huh

        This is simply how QuickEdit works; but QuickEdit is an optional add-on, so you can easily disable it if it is causing you problems. If you need the QuickEdit functionality, I suggest started a thread in that component’s support thread.

        <script type="text/javascript">var MODX_MEDIA_PATH = "media";</script>

        This has been discussed in several threads and will be gone in the upcoming releases. It’s currently needed for some of the built-in widgets for displaying Template Variables.

        That is proper function. What about that seems to be problematic in your mind?
