Automatic alias: replace restricted characters

I am wondering if there is a way to replace restricted characters in alias names.

When I activate auto alias, modx turns my title "Welcome To Düsseldorf" into "welcome-to-dsseldorf".
That's miles off the target for SEO

Check your System Settings for the "friendly_alias_translit" setting. It can have various options.

The method of transliteration to use on an alias specified for a Resource. Empty or "none" is the default which skips transliteration. Other possible values are "iconv" (if available) or a named transliteration table provided by a custom transliteration service class.
