    Hi MODx-Community,

I'm trying to modify the manager forms & fields to prove my company how awesome MODx Revo is smiley

I got my first dead end: Actually I'd like to use the TINYmce-Editor in most templates, but one.

This template has the "modx-resource-content"-field activated and I'd like this template to don't use the editor, just the plain field for a description. The other fields on the first tab are already reserved and don't have that nice size. And it would be inconvenient to use a tv here.

I tried adding the setting "use_editor" with the value "false" to the setting of the template, but it doesn't seem to work. Is there another way?

    Best regards,
    Sebastian
    • What you are trying to say is that you don't want any resources that use this template to have the Rich Text editor?

You would probably need a plugin, and it would get complicated since a new resource initially has the site default template, and wouldn't get the RTE/no RTE option until it's assigned to the no-RTE template. Also if you are editing a resource and change its template, either to or from this no-RTE template. So there's a lot to take into account here.

I think you could use Form Customization (with a constraint based on the template) to set the value of the richtext field to 0 for that template, though I think it wouldn't take effect until the resource had been saved once.

Thanks to you both, Susan and Bob. I'll try it in the weekend while sitting in Utrecht smiley
I will share my solution later on.
