Gallery Plugin and Caching in MODX

I have a website using the Gallery Plugin and in my templates I am creating my large images using phpmythumbof.

Just to be clear... when an admin clears the cache, also the images in the gallery created with the Gallery Plugin on the fronted will also be deleted. This means that in order for MODX to remake the optimized images, the admin would need to call up the pages with gallery in the frontend, so that MODX /phpthumbof recreates these images.. correct?

The problem here is that everytime the admin then clears the cache, he needs to remember to call up the frontend pages. Is there a way to setup either phpthumbof or gallery caching so that the images do not get deleted from the cache?
