[solved] Website down after changing cache setting

    After changing in the modx-settings the type of caching from php to json the site is down.

    SOLVED: The trick to reactivate was to delete this file:

    core/cache/system_settings/config.cache.php [ed. note: lettis last edited this post 14 years ago.]

      What setting did you change? Look in the system_settings table, for the setting you changed. You should be able to scan through and find it. Change it back.

        Hi Frogabog,
        thanks a lot. It now works again. We just forgot to delete: core/cache/system_settings/config.cache.php
        after manually change the settings directly in the database.

          Does anybody know in which cases it makes sense to change in the system settings the "cache_format"

          Is it possible to increase the pagespeed by one of these three values for the cache_format:

          0 = php
          1 = json
          2 = PHP serialized data
