Hi I wonder how can I overcome this problem. Two sites I did in Modx, both have background images and colors in the body, when the TinyMCE is enable, the background color shows up, thus making it impossible to edit content because the text is black and the background color of darken. I didn’t see this coming until now becuase I didn’t have editor enable, I need to have the editor on so that client can use the QuickEdit or TinyMCE.

Create a custom css file with body { background: #FFF; } (and additional settings for your editor window) and put it somewhere on your server.
Then point to it here:
Tools->configuration->Interface settings->Path to custom css file
