Upgrade Question

I have an older Revo site with a renamed Manager and the core outside the web root. I think it's the traditional distribution (or the dev version). I moved everything manually and edited the config files. Everything works fine.

I tried several methods of upgrading to 2.2.4 with no luck. The checks are all green, but the install crashes (usually with a 404 somewhere along the line).

Is there a way to upgrade without putting everything back in the standard locations? I didn't try the Advanced distribution. Would that work?

I would give the advanced install a run for the money. Could you also post the php info or shoot me a link? There could be a few settings in there causing the problem.

You will have to use the advanced distribution (or build from git) to upgrade deployments with customized paths for anything other than the MODX_CORE_PATH.
