I have our non-profit .com site on a hosting company server on my personal account and have set up a separate account for the organization for the .org site and installed the latest version of revolution. I want to take my existing site at the .com and move everything over to the .org to have that as the main site. I can't tell what the easiest way to do this is. Any suggestions? I don't want to have to recreate everything on the .org account.

You should be able to edit the config file and a few settings to get MODX using the new domain name, provided it's setup on the server already.

If you want to move the site it's also very similar in that you just move the site, and then edit the config files.

What gets edited in the config files? I guess I'm not sure how to back up all the files then port them over to the other account. Would this be accomplished with an FTP client?

You would edit the database information and paths based on the new environment. Yes, you would typically use an FTP client, or in some cases your host may help you.
