Gallery plugin corrupt - can not edit live site.

Sorry for posting this twice - had no response in another (probably wrong) part of the forum:

Something went very wrong with the Gallery plug-in on a live site, the other day. As a last resort, I uninstalled all versions via the package management and removed all instances manually.

I then tried a fresh install via package management, and whilst it downloads fine, it's having major issues actually installing,

Basically, for almost every line of console output, it says:
"Skipping vehicle object of class modSystemSetting (data object exists and cannot be upgraded)..."
or
"Skipping vehicle object of class modPluginEvent (data object exists and cannot be upgraded)..."
followed by a few more characters.

Other packages (I tested Code Mirror, just to make sure) download and install perfectly.

I'm beginning to go mad, please help.
