furl for home page

OK, once again I'm riding merrily along, learning Modx (Revo 2.2) by doing, trying to set up my first web site, when I notice the following:

Whenever I preview my home page (my only page, so far), it opens perfectly with the following browser address:

www.mysite.com/modx/

(My experimental modx is installed in the subdirectory of my existing live site.)

I thought I had completed all the steps to have friendly urls, so I was expecting:

www.mysite.com/modx/index.html

Any hints on what to check first?

The bare domain name will open your "site_start" page ( a System Setting in the "Site" section). This is expected behavior. You're doing just fine
