Custom DB query - search terms don't update

I have a PHP/MySQL query within a snippet that. It works fine but for one thing:

After I run the first search my queries don't update.

For example: if my first search is for 'Tractor' it will display tractors related stuff fine. But if I then do a new search for, say, 'Truck' the results and query still say 'Tractor' even though the term 'Truck' is visible as a term in the URL.

This keeps happening - it will stay stuck on 'Tractor' until I update and save the snippet (even just adding a comment or nothing at all) via the ModX back end, then the process begins again.

I am running Evo 1.0.6. Has this something to do with the caching? Ive cleared both the browser and ModX caches to no avail.
