    Hello,

I did a lot of searches looking for an answer to this but cannot seem to find anything even close.

I’m using 0.9.6 and whenever I save a page with an alias in the Document Alias input box I get a pop-up alert that says:

Document ’#’ is already using the alias ’’. Please enter a unique alias.

    # = a document id

Regardless of what document ID it is saying the alias is the same for...it is not the same. I have checked all existing aliases and even try entering a different alias...but still the same result. The only way I can get the document to save is to not enter any alias at all.

I even tried deleting the conflicting page and emptying the recycle bin. The system then just chooses another document ID that it thinks it is in conflict with.

Everything was working fine earlier today. I have some pages that have aliases that I created and they are working. But now all of a sudden...no aliases.

I had this happen once before while working on a different site. I got frustrated and walked away for a while....closed all browser windows and shut down the machine. Later when I went back to it, it was working fine.

I tried closing everything and reloading this time...but no luck.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Bryan

EDIT/UPDATE: Okay, I have determined that the problem happens when switching the character encoding from UTF-8 to ISO 8859-1. Is this supposed to do this or is this a bug?
