It's been a while since I have had to scan the Forum for knowledge smiley

After beating my head with the keyboard, struggling through the forum here and the German forum I have come to the conclusion: I am stuck sad

    So, the problem:

I was recently asked if its possible to change how Ditto outputs its "taglinks" - me being full of myself, said, shouldn't be a problem, oh what a mistake sad

    What is required:

Currently the taglinks placeholder gives out the tags as required, but the URL it produces is like this: domain.com/parent.php?tags=tagname&start=0

The current set-up in question is something like this (at the moment the parent is only being used):

    Parent

    • Tag 1
    • Tag 2
    • Tag 3
    • Tag 4
    • Tag 5

So what I need it to do is to output something like: domain.com/tags/tagname.php

Some of the tags are 2 or more words, the alias is always lowercase and uses a minus sign "-" (not underscore) between the words e.g. "my-tag-name.php"

The Pagetitle replicates the TV's selected name and the tags alias is used:

pagetitle: Tag 1 alias: tag-1 which gives a url like: domain.com/tags/tag-1.php
pagetitle: Tag 2 alias: tag-2 which gives a url like: domain.com/tags/tag-2.php
pagetitle: Tag 3 alias: tag-3 which gives a url like: domain.com/tags/tag-3.php
pagetitle: Long Tag Name alias: long-tag-name which gives a url like: domain.com/tags/long-tag-name.php

So my end result should be something like this:

    <a href="tags/tag-1.php">Tag 1</a>, <a href="tags/tag-2.php">Tag 2</a>, <a href="tags/tag-3.php">Tag 3</a>

I know its possible to work around this and do some htaccess re-writes, but that isn't currently a solution that I would like to use.

Any help is appreciated smiley [ed. note: iusemodx last edited this post 14 years, 1 month ago.]

Am somewhat disappointed at the response on this subject, but hey, I suppose thats the way things go.

The problem has now been commercially resolved, so I won't be publishing the solution here on the forum.

        Cheers
