I'm trying to see if its possible to make the base_path an absolute path instead of a relative path.

This is currently my sites setup.

    Site 1. /home/site1/public_html/assets/
    Site 2. /home/site2/public_html/assets/
    Site 3. /home/site3/public_html/assets/

Currently I have the core and manager installed on site 1 since I have a SSL running on that domain. I want to add site 2 and so on to the same manager using different contexts.

The problem I am running into is setting up media sources for each site. It seems like I can only use assets/ instead of using /home/site2/public_html/assets/ for the base_path. Does anyone have a fix for this?

    Thanks

I believe that each context has its own setting for base_path, and if you specify the context for the media source it should use that base_path.

I just figured it out. I forgot to set basePathRelative to No in the Media Source. Thanks for your help.

How do you specify the context for the media source?

I have the problem that with Babel 2.2.5 and MODX 2.2.5, my images tv's in the extra language contexts are not showing up in the manager. When I select an image in the tv, it does not show the media source in the media browser

First of all I have never used Babel.

To get my Media Sources to work with different Contexts. I had to setup "User Groups" under Security -> Access Controls. I have a group for each context in my manager. Once you have created a group. Right click on it and select the "Update User Group" option. This will bring you to a page with different tabs. One will be for context and one will be for media sources. Based on what group you place your user it will determine what context and media source will load. An important note: If you want the person to be able to login via the manager they have 2 entries under the context tab. One for mgr and one for the context you have created. I ran into this problem when I first started using contexts.

For your question on media sources not showing... Have you tried clicking the drop down option in the "File" tab on the left hand side on the document tree. If you click "File System" it should expand to your other media sources if you have access to them. I believe admins have access to all media sources unless you modify the permissions.

HI Robert, thanks for your response. I figured out that I needed to adjust the context setting on my image TVs. I created the TVs before I created the second context and didn't think to check the TVs again!
