Email admin when a new user signs up.

Hi. Firstly, thanks to everyone who has put a lot of effort in to making modxcms what it is. I am new to modx and php in general, but am really happy to find modx and build the first website with it.

Now the problem. I have searched the forum trying to find a solution, but unfortunately did not have any luck. Hopefully someone can help me.

I was wondering if there is a way to send an email to the admin when a new user signs up for an account.
I searched within the snippets/weblogin/ directory for clues as to how to go about it, and found there is a function for sending a users new password via mail.. but I am a bit lost as to how/where to write a function to send the email to the admin to notify of a new user signup.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Not without editing the snippet, but I like the idea, so I am putting it in as a parameter for WebLoginPE. There are two more quick changes to make to the snippet and this one seems easy enough. I will put it in for version 1.0.2 scheduled to be out monday or tuesday of this week.

FWIW, you could easily add this via a plugin using the OnWebSaveUser event. You would just check the mode, and if it was "new" you could generate and send the email.

good point.
Already added the feature to WebLoginPE though. you can specify a comma separated list of email addresses to notify when a new user registers.
