Ditto, filter the results into months

Hey,

I've got a never ending amount of news items and instead of the typical "view news page 1 2 3 4 5 6 7..." etc which is produced with this code "[+previous+] [+pages+] [+next+] " I would like to say something like "view news from Jan Feb March..."
Is there a way to do this with Ditto? Or is there another module/plugin that could do it?
