This is my first post so apologies if I break etiquette, I'll do my best.
Using MODX Revolution 2.2.0. I imported some templates and now I've decided to get rid of one of them. Can't delete it outright because MODX correctly tells me that it's the default template.
The puzzling bit is that when I go to the System Settings and select a diferent template as the default (default_template), although it seems to save the setting, it doesn't actually change. The problem only happens if I use the right click "Update Setting" dialog. If I double-click, it works just fine.
So, no immediate problem but I can't see why it doesn't seem work via the dialog.
Did you click somewhere else in the grid after changing the setting? I don't think it's updated if you navigate away before doing that.

That has bitten me many times, forgetting to click outside the field after changing a setting.
Me, Four! Its annoying, but I finally got used to it this weekend.
What constantly bites me is clicking on the 'Close' button instead of the 'Save' button when creating a new System Setting or clicking on 'Close' instead of 'Done' when creating a new property. Instead of 'Close,' it should be 'Cancel' IMO.

Yeah... what's with that? When did Cancel disappear?

Line 49 of default.inc.php (core/lexicon/en/)
$_lang['cancel'] = 'Close';
Thanks! Guess I'm going to update my lexicon.
Thanks. Done.
I'm embarrassed by how long I've been planning to fix that. Feel like making a Pull Request for all the poor bastards that are still suffering?

BobRay, I'd be interested to know if you still accidentally click "Cancel" instead of Save every now and again. I've done the same thing a few times but I'm not sure that it's the word because I don't think I always bother to read the buttons, I just expect it to be OK and then Cancel.
In MODx it's effectively the other way round.
