I decided to try posting a flash video file to my modx-powered blog. I switched the editor to "none," entered the raw HTML source for embedding the player and pressed "save." When previewing the entry, I discovered that I’d entered the wrong URL for my flash video player swf (and thus it didn’t work) so I returned to the manager to edit the URL -- and discovered that when TinyMCE loaded my source, it replaced the <embed> tag with <div></div>.
In general I like TinyMCE so I don’t want to set my site to default to plain HTML for editing, but I’d also like it if I didn’t have to re-paste my flv code every time I edited a document that contained it. I suppose I could write a phx-based chunk to generate it automatically, but I’d really rather just be able to enter HTML and have it stick.
Thoughts?
